Porsche Launches Cayenne S Platinum Edition At ₹ 1.27 Crore

In July 2016, Porsche had launched the Platinum edition for the Cayenne and now, the more powerful Cayenne S petrol and diesel models too get a Platinum edition. There are a few cosmetic updates in the form the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Bose audio system. The upholstery is done in leather with Alcantara sport seats which are heated (only at the front) and the headrests are embossed with the Porsche logo. Also, these models also get new scuff plates with Platinum edition written on them.

On the outside, the Platinum edition models get new bi-xenon headlamps with Porsche Dynamic Light System, 21-inch wheels instead of the regular 18-inch ones, parking sensors at the front and rear and four new colour options of Jet Black, Mahogany, Rhodium Silver and Carrara White. The wheel arches are body-coloured as well.
There are no mechanical changes whatsoever. The petrol Cayenne S continues to get a 3,604cc twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that churns out 414 bhp and 550Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed tiptronic S transmission unit.
The diesel Cayenne S gets a 4,134cc, twin-turbo 8-cylinder engine which belts out 380 bhp and 850Nm of torque. This engine is also mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission unit.
The Porsche Cayenne S Platinum edition petrol is priced at ₹ 1.27 Crore and the diesel variant is priced at ₹ 1.31 Crore. All prices are ex-showroom, Maharashtra.

Why The Grand i10 Facelift Is A Crucial Model For Hyundai

New Dual Tone Toyota Etios Liva Launched At ₹ 5.94 Lakh

Toyota has launched the new dual-tone Etios Liva with two engine options and across a total of four variants. The dual-tone Etios Liva's price starts at ₹ 5.94 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and goes up to ₹ 7.61 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the top-end diesel variant. In addition to the Platinum Etios Liva edition's exterior elements, the new model sports the dual tone theme inside too. Furthermore, dual tone was previously offered only on the mid grade - now it is also available on top-end trims. Toyota Kirloskar Motor adds that these changes have been introduced due to customer demand.

Delving into details - the new dual tone Toyota Etios Liva gets a sporty roof spoiler, new dual-tone painted contrast roof and pillars, black finish on the front grille, chrome fog lamp bezels, electrically-foldable ORVMs, and diamond cut alloy wheels. Inside, it receives a piano black finish instrument panel, optitron combimeter rear removable headrests, adjustable front headrest, and 3D textured seat fabric. The new model remains mechanically unchanged and continues to derive power from the same pair of engines as the regular version of the hatchback. While the 1.2-litre DOHC petrol engine develops 79 bhp and 104 Nm, the 1.4-litre diesel engine puts out 67 bhp along with a maximum torque of 170 Nm. For transmission, the dual tone Etios Liva also receives a five-speed manual. It must be noted that Toyota will retail the regular Etios Liva in conjunction with the new dual tone model.

New Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and NS200 with BS-IV engine launched in India

Bajaj Auto has launched the updated RS200 in India at a starting price of Rs 1.21 lakh for the non-ABS version. The RS200 BS-IV ABS version costs Rs 1.33 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi). The updated Pulsar RS200 gets a BS-IV compliant engine and two new colours – racing blue and graphite black. Apart from these, there are no other changes.
The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is powered by a single-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine which makes 24.5PS of power at 9,750rpm and 18.6Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It gets a steel perimeter frame along with telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 300mm disc up front and a 230mm disc at the rear.

Additionally, Bajaj Auto has re-launched the Pulsar NS200 in India. The 2017 Pulsar NS200 too gets a BS-IV compliant engine and is priced at Rs 96,453 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Apart from a BS-IV compliant engine, the new NS200 gets a belly pan and is being offered in three colour schemes – graphite black, mirage white and wild red.

The 2017 Pulsar NS200 shares the same 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with the RS200, but with a carburetor instead of the fuel injection found on the latter. On the 2017 NS200, however, it makes 23.52PS of power at 9,500rpm and 18.3Nm of torque at 8,000rpm, the same as before.

Hyundai showcased the refreshed i10 last year. Now Hyundai India has silently launched the same model here albeit with the Grand i10 moniker. The facelifted Hyundai Grand i10 is priced between Rs 4.58-6.40 lakh for the petrol trims and Rs 5.68-7.33 lakh for the diesel, ex-Delhi. While the base petrol is now cheaper by around Rs 30,000 compared to the outgoing car, the top-end diesel price has increased by a similar amount. In the meanwhile, the freshly launched Maruti Ignis is priced between Rs 4.59-7.8 lakh, ex-Delhi.

The diesel engine is now 1.2 litres in capacity as compared to the 1.1l U2 unit in the older car. This engine produces more power,  75PS and torque goes up by 30Nm to 190Nm. It is more fuel-efficient too. It is available with a 5-speed manual gearbox only, while the 1.2l petrol motor can be optioned with an automatic on the Magna and Sportz (O) trims. The petrol engine makes the same 83PS of power but boasts an improvement in fuel efficiency. Both the engines are Euro-IV compliant. Hyundai offers a warranty of 2 years or unlimited kilometres on the new Grand i10.

One look at the new i10 and you will know that this is a significant change for the model. The grille becomes much wider now and more pronounced. The front and rear bumpers too are new and so is the fog lamp design. LED DRLs add to the design quotient. The first-gen Grand i10 started the diamond-cut alloy trend, and the new car carries it forward with smarter-looking wheels.

While the general layout in the cabin is similar to the old car, the infotainment system is now even more advanced. A 7-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay, MirrorLink and Android Auto debuts in the new Hyundai Grand i10. It has navigation too and carries forward the 1GB music storage from the previous version. Hyundai has also added voice commands as seen on some Maruti and Ford products. The infotainment system is also the display for the reverse camera, which is now standard on the top trims.
Parking sensors too are available. Other features like the auto dimming rear-view mirror, climate control, rear AC vent, and electrically adjustable and foldable mirrors are also part of the package. A driver airbag is standard while ABS is available only on the top-spec trims.
